Eleri had her informal Music performance tonight. Jim is somewhere in China on business. The girls and I went to the Kerry Center for a quick shop at the Gap since Bindi had said they had some cute shorts. Eleri needs shorts, but she didn’t like any them – so Eleri! After much discussions […]

ES Field Day was a beautiful, blue sky day in Shanghai. Eleri’s team was Japan, therefore, she needed to wear red and white to match her team. She found a red shirt and the only sports shorts she has are her “Black Dog” shorts. She only wears jean shorts. She skipped off to school […]

I took Eleri’s Bali braids out after over a week. Her braids were braided very tight. She comb her hair and we decided she looked like Roxi – all fluffed and puffed. The terms we use for Roxi when she comes back from the groomers.

The Moms of Room 406, Eleri’s class, volunteered to work our assigned game, Whack the Duck. The hardest part was keeping […]

It’s that time of the year again – time to catch a Leprechaun. Eleri had “blown” up the hot glue gun over Chinese New Year’s staycation. She reminded me she MUST have a glue gun to build a proper Leprechaun trap. I ran to the B&Q in Jinqiao on Wednesday to replace the glue […]

Eleri’s 3rd grade class has been studying poetry. Eleri enjoys poetry and is having fun writing her own poems. The 3rd grade had a poetry reading at school. Eleri was very excited to have us come to hear her recite a poem.

Eleri’s invite to her poetry reading had two poems by Eleri.

This week the ES Students have Book Week. Book Week ends with a book character parade on Friday. Eleri decided last month she was going to be the little sister from the book, “Big Sister, Little Sister”. It is a very easy costume and once Eleri makes a decision, she is done. Friday morning, […]

A light snow began on Thursday, but not cold enough as the day was both rain and snow. On Friday later afternoon, it snowed! Mr. Nie had said if it snows on Chinese New Year, it is very lucky – so it must be a lucky year.

Eleri and Roxi went out on […]
