On this Saturday, Emersyn was inducted into the International Thespian Society. To be eligible, she earned “points” for her work in theatre over the past year.
Black was the dress attire. Luckily, Emersyn bought this black dress for a dance last year…it still fit! Shoes – she has none, but we made the black boots work!
My photos at the ceremony are terrible as the spot light was on the stage. At the ceremony, each new inductee gave a short monolog. Emersyn had to memorize one from Julia Caesar for school about two months ago. She just needed about 10 minutes to refresh her memory and she was good to go!
The candle lighting was a bit of a challenge with the little lighter, but they all managed to get their candles with a flame!
The ceremony was nice and fun to watch the various monologs. I was the representative from our family. It was one of those typical Saturdays in the Lyon house where everyone needed to be in different places at the same time! Jim was teaching first aid response at school from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Emersyn’s induction ceremony was from 9:00am to 11:00am. Lastly, Eleri had a birthday party from 10:00am to 1:00pm and tennis at 3pm.
Jim and Eleri left for school at 7:30am. Mr. Nie return back to get Emersyn and I at 8:30am for the ceremony. Eleri “hung” with Jim in the first aid class until Mr. Nie picked her up at 9:40am for a bowling party at a Mall in Jinqiao. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful driver as we walked Eleri to the bowling area on the 4th floor! Mr. Nie came back to school to get Emersyn and I. After Emersyn and I did a quick errand at Decathlon, we picked up Harper. The, back to the Mall to drop me off while I waited for Eleri to finish with her party. Mr. Nie took Emersyn and Harper back to our house in Lujaizui to study for finals. Then, he drove back to the Mall to get Eleri and me for the last stop of the day of tennis. Whew!
