This year, Emersyn and Eleri wanted to run the Jinqiao Charity Run. The run is 8k and the walk/run is 2k. Concordia’s charity for this run is Baobei. Other schools run for different charities as BISS students ran for Heart to Heart. Emersyn picked up our t-shirts and gear for the day – pink shirts this year! I pinned all the numbers and tags on the shirts so we would be ready Sunday morning. The money raised from Concordia would pay for surgery for Angelina. We all had Angelina flags to wear on our backs. Eleri did not wear her flag as it was too long.
Emersyn found a way to put her braids in a bun.

The family sporting our pink shirts…we were easy to spot…excpet for the sea of pink!
Jim, Eleri and Emersyn waiting for the race to start.
Emersyn ran the 2k with her friends while Eleri and I walked the 2k together. Jim ran the 8k alone. When Emersyn finished, she waited for us at the Concordia gate with her friend, Daniela.
After the race, sandwiches and snacks were served to the Concordia Charity runners. It was a fun day supporting this charity. Charity is part of school life for my girls, it will help to set a lifetime of giving.
