For the 5th grade Science Fair, Emersyn did an experiment to see which water bottle kept liquids coldest at room temperature. She used a thermal insulated bottle, a glass bottle and a plastic bottle. She did three different tests by add ice and testing the temperatures at various times. With no surprises, the insulated bottle kept the liquid the coldest. However, a surprising second was the plastic water bottle. It was an interesting experiment she used for her science fair as I was interested in her results.
On the way out the door for school, Eleri asked is she could go to the Science Fair – hum, why not. I picked Eleri up from her class room for her to visit the Fair. Eleri and I went around to listen to the presentations of children we knew. Some of the other experiments were what type of tennis ball bounces higher, which chocolates melted faster and which bread molds fastest. Eleri’s favorite experiment was with sticky tack. She loves that stuff. One child determine it was strongest when heated.
It was a fun Science Fair and the children proud to present their experiments and results.
