Mimi and Papa are celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary on September 8. For this milestone, a party with friends and family to toast the happy couple. The day started with Mimi and Papa renewing their vows in Church.

After church, Mimi and Papa treated us to brunch in town. The girls loved the cinnamon french toast.

The invitation was beautifully put together by Nancy and Kathy.

The party was held at the History Club in Los Gatos, just down the street for us. As we were walking, Eleri asked if Daddy and I would have our 60th anniversary party here also. Hum, we will be 90 years old – probably not!

Since we had the whole family together which doesn’t happen all the time, we took family photos before the celebration began.

The room was decorated beautifully ready for guests to arrive.

The girls had fun playing with Chloe.

Eleri also found the air vents a fun place to play – “Some Like it Hot”!

Jim was MC for the event. Nancy, Kathy and Jim put together a beautiful slideshow of Mimi and Papa over the 60 years. Photos of their wedding, lives and growing children & grandchildren were put to music for a 20 minute video. When we watched the video at home for the first time, Eleri inquired who were those people – referring to the young Mimi and Papa. Grandchildren only have one images of grandparents.

After enjoying a delicious meal, the traditions began with a toast…

Jim enjoyed a dance with his special girls.

At the end of the celebration, Papa shared a gift with the guests. Wine charms to thank their friends and family for celebrating with them. Each bag had a tag that said:
