It was a cold overcast blustery morning for the Girls Soccer World Cup Championship game.   Emmy started the morning with a high protein breakfast and was “pumped” to get on the field.

Eleri on the other hand would have prefered to have stayed home.  Not only did she not leave Brenda’s arms for the entire game but she hid for the first half of the game.

Emmy took over goal tending late in the first half and for the entire second.  She only gave up one goal and made at least 5 stops – aggressively going after the ball and diving inspite of feet all around.

Her team,  Poland, won a hard fought game 6-5 against England.  Each of the girls received their Championship medal at a ceremony after the game.

“Show me the medal!!”
