It all started with a new mozzie net purchased in Bali. The next thing I know, I am rearranging Eleri’s entire room! Eleri did “inherited” the leftover room from when Emersyn moved out. Emersyn had a new, fancy room and Eleri had the old room to herself.
I had the idea of making the bookcases a “library” for Eleri. She loved the idea. Since I had to move the books, I sorted through all the books as Eleri has outgrown many of the baby books.
Eleri has had the flowers hanging across her bathroom door for over a year now. Since I don’t go in her bathroom all the time, I can live with the impractical flowers across the door.
I had moved the extra bed, which we call Lili’s bed, by the bathroom window. It looked really nice (no photo). Jim hung artwork and we were done…until I saw that DTL was having a sale. DTL is where we purchased Emersyn’s chair last year for her birthday. I thought it would be a nice birthday present for Eleri…especially since her sister won’t let her sit in her chair! Therefore, one week later and I was sorting and moving again!
The artwork that was hung last week now needs to be moved… it was perfect when the bed was located here!
Now, the extra bed needed to go somewhere. This is like the book, “If you give a mouse a cookie” and the things you must do. Next, I was cleaning and sorting the toy room. The toy room was a disaster…again, I should have taken a photo as I always think about it after the fact. Eleri’s making corner was scary. Eleri and I sorted through the making stuff together as I didn’t know what she wanted to save. She was done after that, of course! We downsized her making area – hopefully, to downsize the mess that piles up!
I moved the bed into the toy room. Now, the girls have a big bed to sit on when they watch tv or play games in the toy room.
In the end, we had a clean toy room – much needed. Eleri has her new chair she loves to read in!
…and her library!
And, Emersyn has a new mozzie net, also. But, no new arrangement in her room as there is no where to move anything with the two big windows.
It was a lot of work, but so worth it to see the smile on Eleri’s face when her room was done!
