On Wednesday, it was a Thanksgiving feast for the 1-2 community (1st & 2nd Graders). Parents brought in a main, a side or a dessert. Since we missed signed up during conferences, I was assigned the last spot of a main. Ms Johnson gave me a list of all the mains parents had signed up to bring to the feast. I made mac & cheese – a kid favorite and it wasn’t on the list!

I was greeted by my adorable pilgrim when she came up from recess.

Eleri had her pilgrim hat, but she didn’t have time to finish her Indian hat. The class made the Indian hats while we were in America. She was happy to be a pilgrim.

Eleri and I filled our plates with the Thanksgiving feast of spring rolls, mac & cheese, crackers, pizza, stuffing and other tasty foods.

We completed our feast with a ginger cookie and poppy seed bread for dessert – yum!
