We spent the afternoon trying to get a family photo for the Christmas card. It was one of the first days with no rain, but it was quite cold (40F). We scrambled to get a photo that was recognizably Shanghai. This one of the girls is my favorite.

We are very fortunate to have made friends with Jim’s work colleagues. Jim works with Brad Peacock and Mala Riley. Brad and his wife, Judith, have been in Shanghai for two years. Mala and Ray arrived this summer about the same time as we did. Brad and Judith are the couple that always opens […]

We are on our second week of rain. While the days are miserable, the nights are fabulous as the low clouds are lit by all the buildings. From our window, we enjoy the mist filled evenings. It is so dreary that Batman would love it!

Who says China is devoid of modern culture?! We had the chance to see The Lion King put on by the touring group based out of Australia. It was a fantastic show – all the costumes and action of Broadway.

From the previous posts, you can see that the family has been MIA. Well, not really. They went on vacation to the US to visit family. It has been one busy summer!

After leaving Hong Kong at the end of June (yes, just in time to miss the move!), the girls made a […]
