We are very fortunate to have made friends with Jim’s work colleagues. Jim works with Brad Peacock and Mala Riley. Brad and his wife, Judith, have been in Shanghai for two years. Mala and Ray arrived this summer about the same time as we did. Brad and Judith are the couple that always opens their home to a party. They invited our family and Mala’s family to Thanksgiving. This was the first time our family has had a real Thanksgiving meal since we moved to Asia in 2003. It was nice to share the celebration with new friends. The turkey was ordered from a hotel restaurant due to small ovens in China. All three of the families live in the same building, which is amazing that we all found open apartments in same building.
