Eleri had been wanting to do a garden in our backyard. Aunt Nancy purchased some pumpkin plants for the girls to plant. Pumpkins being a hardy plant since there is no one to take care of them. We decided the best place would be next to the house by the rain drain – at least they would get water in the winter.

Papa came down to help plant the pumpkins. He came prepared with shovel and potting soil.

Elle pulled the planting soil over to the dirt patch – ready to plant!

Papa and Emersyn’s found the perfect place to plant her pumpkin patch.

Then, Papa helped Eleri put her pumpkin plant in the soil.

A little water…

and the pumpkin plants are ready to grow!

This is the pumpkin patch just before we left for Shanghai in August. The girls were pleased with the growth of their pumpkin patch.
