Emmy’s class sent home their first publishing.  Here are the two written by Emmy.  She was very excited about her stories being “published”.  Of course, my favorite is My Little Sister. 
  
Grade 1 Math

Math is fun.  We learn and sometimes we play games.  Like on the first day, we played a fun learning game.  I wanted to play it over and over and over again.  We get workbooks.  We get a bag to keep our clocks and plastic money in.  In math, now we are learning about USA money.  The first money we started was the pennies, and now we have nickels that we are learning about.
 
In our workbooks, it has some game boards.  One game is called One-Fisted Penny Grab.  To play, you need a partner and 20 pennies.  You and your partner each grab one handful.  Then you see who has more and write it down.
 
 
My Little Sister

Sometimes my sister is extremely silly.  Sometimes she comes running down the hallway with her cute little toddler run, going, “Sissy, Sissy, ” two times.  I love my little sister.  Sometimes she is so silly, I am silly with her.  This we what we do together.  We tickle and I read books to her.  We are together forever.
