Another snow day in Shanghai. This is the second winter out of five that it has snowed in Shanghai. It is always an amazing view from our deck on the 29th floor. The World Finance Center and the Jin Mao Towers are seen in the clouds from our deck.

The view of the pool and grounds from the 29th floor has an unique look with the blue pool and the white snow.

The umbrella photo is a classic. All the Chinese walk around with their umbrellas to keep the snow off them. Since snow is not common, they treat it like rain. The funny truth is that it does work!

I did leave my warm apartment to take pictures at ground level of the snow.

When the kids piled off the bus at 4pm, they had made a plan for a snowball fight and snow play. Elle and Sophie went down together to play. Emmy passed on the fun as it isn’t much fun with a broken leg.

When I went to find Elle, the field was packed with kids. Many kids from all the schools seem to have the same idea. Some kids had never seen snow or have had the opportunity to play in the snow. Eleri and Sophie made a big snowball. They wanted to push it into the paddle pool – all the way in the pool. Since Elle had on water boots, she gave it the last push.

One last snow angel on the way home.
