For Jim’s birthday, we had reservations at Lost Heaven on the Bund. This new Lost Heaven opened about a year old. The original Lost Heaven restaurant is located in the French Concessions. It is Yunnan food with wonderful spices in all the dishes.
Since we live close to the river, we walk two blocks to catch the ferry to the other side. It is actually faster than driving. The ferry cost 2rmb ($.30). For the 2rmb, you also get to enjoy the views of the Bund on the Puxi side and the skyline on the Pudong side.
After eating all kinds of different dishes, we went for a walk on the Bund. The Bund was under construction for about two years – it was “beautified” for the Expo. Now, it has a beautiful promenade to walk and enjoy the sites of Shanghai.
