The 5th grade Mandarin classes put on a short performance of a Chinese Taiji dance. An instructor worked with the kids to teach and practice the dance.

First, he did the Taiji dance performance alone.

Then, we watched four different Mandarin classes perform. The students are assigned to different levels of Mandarin classes based on their ability. Eleri’s class was the last class to perform.

Eleri looked adorable, but she did wear the wrong shoes to school this day! Eleri had good form performing the dance – it must be from her fencing pose!

Eleri was all smiles when she finished the performance!
