Concordia’s Middle School Bands in a “Musical Journey”. The music was performed by the Middle School Bands which included combined 5th-8th Grade Intermediate Band and 7th & 8th Grade Concert Band. The Intermediate Band played three songs and the Concert Band played four songs for about a 40 minute concert to enjoy the “musical journey”.

Emersyn is now first chair for the alto saxophones. She was to have a solo for the Arabian Dances, but she had been sick all last week. Rodney did the solo. It was a cool solo with the Saxophone beginning the song passing a solo to the flute and then a solo to the clarinet before the band join in on the song.

The evening was a busy one with no before photo of Emersyn. Jim was driving from a meeting two hours outside of Shanghai. He was to be at school at 4:30pm, but arrived at 5:45pm. After school while we waited for Jim, Emersyn was working on her video for the Shanghai Student Film Festival while Eleri and Ellie did homework in the cafe. We grabbed Ethan after volleyball for a 30 minute dinner at Pistolera before running back to school for the concert.
