Santa came to our home in Shanghai while we were away on our adventure trip. The girls were so excited on the way home. They were talking about what they might get from Santa. Elle said she didn’t know, but she knew there would be a game for her under the tree. Emmy asked what game. She said, “Sorry”. “I asked Santa for it at Concordia”. Wow, I was sure glad I spent the extra effort getting “Sorry” this year. It is was a simply request if we were going to California for Christmas – a quick run to Toys R Us! I searched all the possible places in Shanghai including Toys R Us, which is double the price. No Sorry to be found. I ordered it off Amazon, paid double the price to have it shipped to Ohio fast. It arrived in Shanghai at the very last minute, the day before we left on our trip.

The girls had stacked their presents on each side of the chest before we left for the Holidays. It was fun to see the excitement in their eyes. They didn’t seem to care our christmas tree was VERY small. For the past seven years, we have gone home. We put up the tree and do all the trimmings at our home in Calfornia. Also, I have no where to store “stuff” as my closets are full. We had no decorations or tree so I hit the local flower market. This tree was perfect as it plugs in, goes around and flashes different colors…and it was small enough to store. The girls loved it!

The girls first looked through their stockings at all the wonderful goodies Santa left them. Then, they open their presents.

After opening the presents, Emmy laid her gifts out just like she does her Halloween candy.
