The girls had fun making the soda fountain experiment in the backyard. Emersyn’s class did a science experiment with this last year. The class determined diet coke works better than regular coke and regular mentos works better than flavor mentos.

First, the girls drilled holes in the mentos. We always joke that Eleri is a mini-jim in looks and personality. To keep the saying true, she picked up the cordless drill and was a natural with the tool. She was able to drill better than Emerysn!

Then, they put the mentos on a string and dropped it in the diet coke bottle.
