This is our first Chinese New Year (CNY) in China. Once you live in China, you begin to learn your Chinese animal calendar. The pig is everywhere. A big pig in front of the grocery store, a pig at our entrance, pigs at every corner. It reminds me of the children’s book, “Pigs a […]

Over the hill and through the woods to get a Christmas tree. We arrived in California earlier this year; therefore, we were able to go into the Santa Cruz Mountains to cut down our Christmas tree. Emmy was thrilled she got to ride to the mountains with Jim in his pick-up truck.

We spent the morning checking out the Christmas decor in Shanghai. It is not quite the “over the top” decor of Hong Kong, but not complaining.

Oh, to have a lazy Sunday! Sleeping in late – not! Those little organic alarm clocks just cannot be turned off. After having a blissful sleep interrupted by two little ones, we did enjoy cuddle time watching Charlie Brown Christmas in bed. After a late breakfast, nowhere to go, nothing to do on a […]
